THink

God gave us brains so that we could use them! The questions we have about life and faith are holy and worthy of thorough exploration!

pray

For people of faith, prayer, meditation, and time spent intentionally with God is an important part of connecting with the source of our being and well-being.

ACT

"Faith without works is dead," says James. In order for faith to be fully realized, our thinking and prayer will bear the fruit of thoughtful, prayerful, and powerful action in the world of building and revealing God's realm in our midst.

WHO?

We can't be who we are meant to be and live out God's call in our lives in isolation. In addition to our families, friends, and the other people and organizations there are three key community organizations that are essential to a life of missional learning:

libraries

More than just book repositories, libraries are places for robust exploration of curiosity, vibrant community, and lifelong learning.

faith communities

Faith communities are the core communities for people to share and explore their faith lives and missions in the world. They are like the "base camps" of vibrant lives of faith.

Faith-Based community organizing

Faith-based community organizing networks and their local affiliate organizations are community unions for people and communities of faith to come and work together on issues and actions that benefit the whole community.

Think+Pray+Act is an Open + Affirming Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Welcome to Think+Pray+Act! We are an open and affirming faith community that strives to maintain open and free theological learning as an act toward justice. We welcome all spirit seekers into full participation in the life and membership of the community. We actively and faithfully accept as they are people of every race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, relationship status, physical and mental ability, family type, and economic background.

We believe God calls us to do justice and love kindness, giving assistance and healing to others and the planet by following the teachings of Jesus. We promise to love our neighbors, respect differences, and build authentic relationships by learning who we are, taking just action, and breaking bread together. In our actions, God’s love moves and shines.

WHY?

We believe Jesus: the most important thing on Earth is building and revealing God's realm on Earth right where we are. We seek to know and live in God as thoroughly as Jesus did, giving people the right tools to lovingly and intentionally build and reveal God's realm in our midst during our short and precious time on Earth.
